Thomas Hewitt

Mr. Thomas Willard Hewitt, age 64, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.  Mr. Hewitt was born in Millen to the late Thomas Rufus and Runette Cowart Hewitt on November 3, 1956. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather.  Mr. Hewitt was in home construction and was a painter.  He had a mischievous sense of humor and loved traveling and taking care of his dogs.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Joanne Henderson and his son, Wesley Hewitt.

Survivors include his son, Phil Hewitt of Athens; sisters, Jeanette Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Brenda Case and her husband Dan of Metter, Cynthia Jolsin and her husband Jeff of Claxton and Connie Hill of Richmond Hill; brother, Stanley Hewitt of Pembroke and granddaughter, Sabrina Hewitt.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Morrison Memorial Chapel with Reverend Steve McCoy officiating.

Burial will be held in the Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
