Mildred Glenda (Conner) Stokes

June 20, 2022

Obituary

Bloomingdale- Mildred Glenda Stokes gained her angel wings and entered Heaven on June 20, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, GA with her family by her side.  Most importantly, by her side was her husband, Irvin Stokes.  Irvin and Glenda got married after just three months of knowing one another and spent 57 wonderful years together.  Throughout those years, they had never spent a day apart.  The always said that God gave them each other, because he knew they needed each other.  They spent every single night holding hands while falling asleep.

Through their unconditional love, they created three beautiful children, Celes Herndon, Lori Collins and Erica Marmolejo.  Her children gave her the love of grandchildren including, Chasity, Chace, Tyler, Reagan, Amanda, Adam, Alayna, Cameron and Avery.  She also knew the love of many brothers, sisters, cousins, and in-laws.  She had so many loved ones, who were forever touched by her pure heart and unwavering kindness.  She will always be remembered for her caring ways.  No one ever left her home with an empty stomach. She always made sure to care for others before she took care of herself.  Her heart was made with good intentions by her love of the Lord and her deep spirituality.  Her legacy will live on forever in those that she touched and loved.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
