Linda Mcgrath

Mrs. Linda Jean Parrish McGrath, age 61, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Mrs. McGrath was born in Orlando, FL on June 12, 1960 to the late Herman and Maxie E. Huff Parrish. She was of the Baptist faith and was employed with Savannah Morning News for seven years as an independent contractor. Mrs. McGrath enjoyed sewing, working in her yard and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a caring woman of strong faith and always tried to help others when she was able.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David A. McGrath and sister, Lola Castro; two twin nieces, Nicole Parrish and Infant Parrish; three aunts and three uncles.

Survivors include two daughters, Brandy Parrish and Jeniffer Parrish both of Ellabell; three unofficial adopted daughters, Dea Spencer, Tina Flowers and Kym Kessler; three brothers, Henry Parrish and his wife Brenda, David Parrish and Luther Parrish all of Ellabell; one sister, Susie Parrish of Ellabell; brother-in-law, Ray Castro; grandchildren, Raul Parrish, Savannah Lowe, Ricky, Nicholas, Serenity and Brayden Fordham, Krystin and Hazeleigh Madden, Daymien and Natalya Hill, Jace Flowers and DeaDra, BrieOnna and Marissa Spencer and 3 nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stan Tyson officiating.

Burial will follow at Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
