Joe Howell, Jr.

Ellabell-  Joe Edward Howell, Jr. age 35, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  He was born in Statesboro on December 23, 1985 to Joe Edward Howell, Sr. and Renee Stanfield Howell.   Joe was a life-long resident of Ellabell and was a 2014 graduate of Georgia Southern University.  He loved hunting and fishing and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.  Joe also dearly loved his dog and companion, Bailey.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry and Margaret Stanfield and Nellie Howell.

Survivors include his wife, Raisa Millares Howell of Ellabell; his parents, Renee Stanfield Howell and Joe Edward Howell, Sr. of Ellabell; sister and her fiancé, Jenna Howell and Josh Phillips of Ellabell; one nephew, Jace Phillips; grandparents, Clyde and Hilda Howell of Ellabell; mother and father-in-law, Carol and Don Williamson of Winterville, GA and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held 11A.M.-1 P.M. Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the funeral home.  The funeral will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, August 21, 2021 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Fiveash officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Noah's Ark Rescue, 4084 Spring Island, Okatie, SC 29909.
