Freddie Lee, Sr.

Mr. Freddie Daniel Lee, Sr., age 73, passed away at Browns Health & Rehab in Statesboro on Friday, January 14, 2022. Mr. Lee was born in Savannah to the late Jacob Columbus Lee, Jr. and Lillian Owens Burnsed Lee on November 11, 1948. He was retired from Georgia Department of Transportation and enjoyed tending to his goldfish pond, fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wynette McGowan Lee and brother, Randall Lee.

Survivors include his two children, Carolyn L. Riner and her husband Lee of Pembroke and Freddie D. Lee, Jr. of Pembroke; three brothers, Harron Lee and his wife Terry of Pembroke, Gary Lee and his wife Susan of Pembroke and Jimmy Lee and his wife Gayle of Twin City; four grandchildren, Tommy “Bubba” Williams, Trey Williams, Courtney Williams and Freddie Lee, III and 5 great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the Northside Cemetery.
