Donald Johnson

Mr. Donald Lane Johnson, age 83, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Mr. Johnson was born in Fayetteville, West Virgina to the late John and Ella Mae Green Johnson on August 9, 1938. He attended college at the College of Applied Science in Cincinnati, OH, was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church and was self-employed for over 60 years as a master carpenter. Mr. Johnson was the 1993 State Champion of Georgia in bowling, an avid and master corn hole player, devoted father and husband and was a man of God.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Brenda Lee Bradford Johnson; four sisters, Della Stein, Thelma Evans, Alpha Edmonson and Opal Wall.

Survivors include his five children, Donna Eggers and her husband Bob of Cincinnati, OH, Randy Johnson and his wife Mary Ann of Pembroke, Darren Johnson and his wife Robin of Cincinnati, OH, Michelle Edwards and her husband Glenn of Cincinnati, OH and Gwen Johnson and her husband James Porter of Pembroke; sister, Betty Thomas of Michigan and 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Glenn McDaniel officiating.
