Carol Roberts

Mrs. Carol Elizabeth Thomas Roberts, 75, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Roberts was born in Savannah to the late Daniel and Derrell Jean Lewis Thomas on August 24, 1945. She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, was employed for over 11 years as a medical transcriptionist at Hospice of Savannah, enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Daniel Thomas; sister, Angela Thomas; step son, James Roberts and grandson, Kenneth “Bubba” Myers, Jr.

Survivors include her loving husband of 18 years, Charles “Chuck” Brandfont Roberts; three daughters, Cherie W. Armstrong of Statesboro, Aimee Reffitt of New York and Lori Ann Irwin and her husband Roy of Guys Mills, PA; two step sons, John Roberts and his wife Shiela of Ellabell and Jeffrey Roberts of Florence, SC; two step daughters, Janet Baxley and her husband Tim of Seneca, SC and Jackie Blakley of Florence, SC and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Olive Branch Baptist Church with Reverend Mitch Lynn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
