Mr. Bascom Ray Johnson, age 68, of Pembroke, GA went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2022. Born the son of Inez and Walter Bascom Johnson on December 8, 1953 in Miami, FL. Ray never met a stranger and had a childlike sense of humor; he loved to play pranks. He was a 1972 graduate at North Ft. Myers High School and was a man of many talents playing music with his bluegrass band, Caloosahatchee River Boys as well as with his family. He was a Vietnam War Veteran graduating Army Pilot School in 1976 and flying mainly Huey Helicopters during his service. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked for LandSouth Construction as a carpenter until his retirement. Mr. Johnson loved working with his hands.
Survivors include his loving wife, Yvonne “Tatie”; nine children, Nanci and her husband Aaron, Ben and his wife Jennifer, Jamee and her husband Larry, Misty and her husband Jason, Melissa and her husband Charlie, James, Brandy, Rocky and his wife Katie and Curtis and his wife Andy; 21 grandchildren, Stormie and her wife Cheyenee, Kristan, Brandon, Justen, Cody, Anthony, Lily, Jocelyn, Brody, Avari, Ashley, C.J., Dalton, Skylar, Dillon, Kyson, Ian, Mya, Jayden, Hunter and Lilith; 12 great grandchildren; nephew, Rod and his wife Pat and niece, Sheila and her husband Donald.
