William Calvin "Bill" Lanier, Jr.

Mr. William Calvin “Bill” Lanier, Jr., 57, passed away on Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025. He was born in Hartford, CT to the late William Calvin Lanier, Sr. and Pauline Nason Lanier on September 20, 1967. Mr. Lanier served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division during Desert Storm and was currently employed with U.S. Silica as a lab specialist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gun collecting, his dogs and watching UGA Football and he attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sylvania.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Shawn Lanier.

Survivors include one son, Calvin Lanier, III. of Statesboro; daughter, Kayla Lanier of Statesboro; two sisters, Brenda Ardito and her husband Vincent of North Haven, CT, Sandra McKinney and her husband Gregg of Glastonbury, CT; sister-in-law, Kathy Lanier of Millen; very special friend, Michele Hagen of Pembroke; two grandchildren, Kameron Mayes and Khloe Mayes and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
