William Edgar (Eddie) Barnard

Pembroke- William Edgar (Eddie) Barnard, age 72, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 at Hospice of Savannah while surrounded by his family. Mr. Barnad was born in Statesboro, GA to the late Robbie Wilton Barnard and Lena Mae Warnell Barnard. He was a steel fabricator and enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and throwing horseshoes. But his greatest love and enjoyment was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Eddie was preceded in death by one sister, Faye NeSmith and one granddaughter, Kayla Barnard.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patricia Hill Barnard; one son, Chip (Ginger) Barnard of Brooklet; one daughter, Toni Barnard of Pembroke; one sister, Susan (Billy) Cowart of Brooklet; three granddaughters, Kendall Knight, Hannah Barnard and Harley Barnard; three grandsons, Charlie Knight, Jesse Knight and Peyton Barnard; great grandchildren, August Rose Gregory and Landon Beau Gregory; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Eddie was known by his grandchildren as PawPaw or Papa and his great grandchildren as Grandpa.

Visitation will be held 11 A.M. - 1 P.M. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Thursday, May 29, 2025 in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home with Dr. Lawrence Butler and Rev. Albert Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Lawrence Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Peyton Barnard, Charlie Knight, Will Crosby, Aaron Barnard, Jesse Knight and Matthew Gregory.
