Wendell Jerome Strickland, age 60 passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 after an extended illness. Mr. Strickland was born October 15, 1956 to the late Nell and Selby C. Strickland. He was a painter and had a love for animals and gardening.
Survivors include three sons, Wendell E. Strickland and his wife, Wendy of Ellabell, Jason J. Strickland and his wife, Mistie, of Pembroke and Gary S. Strickland of Newport, TN; three daughters, Amy L. Barclay and her husband, Tim of Effingham, Nancy S. Walker and her husband, Richard of Bloomingdale and Wendi A. Strickland of Mars Hill, NC; one brother Selby Wayne Strickland and his wife, Lynn of Savannah; one sister, Wanda S. Crosby and her husband Jerry of Charleston; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Noon – 2 P.M. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, August 26, 2017 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Correll officiating.
Interment will be private.
