Mr. Meredith Wayne Wiggins, 69, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Mr. Wiggins was born in Lyons to Joe Wiggins and Emma Lou Powell Wiggins on October 23, 1948. He served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy, worked as a longtime diesel mechanic for Schwerman Trucking Company, was a member of Bible Holiness Church in Hagan and was an avid gardener and loved his tractor.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Gary Wiggins.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara jean Wiggins; son, Joe Wiggins of Springfield; two daughters, Marie Young of Garfield and Linda Brown and her husband James of Rincon; six brothers, Ronnie Wiggins of Ellabell, Dennie Wiggins of Guyton, Tony Wiggins of Milledgeville, Timmy Wiggins, David Wiggins and Jerry Wiggins all of Tifton; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Doctor Lawrence Butler and Pastor Stan Tyson.

Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
