Wanda Catherine "Cathy" Lane

Mrs. Wanda Catherine “Cathy” Young Lane, age 67, passed away at East Georgia Regional Medical Center on Friday, August 25, 2023. Mrs. Lane was born in Savannah on May 14, 1956 to the late William Henry Young and Evelyn Ruby Anderson Young. She worked as an office manager for over 12 years with M. Shuman & Co. CPA. Mrs. Lane enjoyed going to the beach, especially Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island, loved dancing and she was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved her cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Young and brother-in-law, Erle Case.

Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Leslie “Les” Donald Lane; two daughters, Shannon Lane of Nevils and Brandi Kamalakis and her husband Devin of Newington; two sisters, Linda Case of Savannah and Sandi Rosensweig and her husband Charlie of Mangolia, KY; six grandchildren, Caleb Barla, Jacob Barla, Alex Lane, Hailey Johnson Brooklyn Kamalakis and Kaiden Kamalakis; two great grandchildren, Tru Barla and Camdyn Brown and one on the way, Jettson Blackwell.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Justin Click officiating.

Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery.
