Mr. Timothy David Meyer, 67, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, January 28, 2019. Mr. Meyer was born on June 11, 1951 in San Diego, CA. He entered the U.S. Army at an early age and served in the Vietnam War as a door gunner and retired with 20 years of faithful and dedicated to service. After his service, Mr. Meyer worked with Lockheed Martin and DS1 as a helicopter mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycle, RC Airplanes and helping other veterans.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Lynda Phillips Meyer; two sons, Robert Christopher Meyer of Wilmington Island and Stephen Anthony Meyer and his wife Pearl of Ellabell; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Doctor Jim Correll officiating.
Burial will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
