Tammy Loretta Thompson Minis, 59, passed away April 8, 2026 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

Tammy was a strong and resilient woman who faced life’s challenges with determination. After suffering a brain aneurysm two years ago, her family was blessed with additional time to love her, care for her, and create meaningful memories. She fought courageously through the effects of her injury, showing strength until the very end.

Tammy was a loving mother and grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family. She began working at a young age as a waitress at Cracker Barrel, where she worked alongside her mother and sister for 10 years. Throughout her life, she continued working in various roles, most often for herself, providing cleaning and other services—always willing to work hard and do what needed to be done.

Tammy is preceded in passing by her husband, Charles Anthony Minis Sr., grandsons, Colby Glen Minis and Grayson Jax Sloan-Minis; granddaughter, Caylynn Elisabeth Minis; and father, Elgie Tim Thompson

Tammy will be deeply missed by her children, Charles "Bubba" Minis Jr. (Toni), Scott Thompson (Laura) and Becky Dixon; grandchildren, Tristan Minis, Madilynn Thompson, Mallory Thompson, McCoy Thompson, Jaden Dixon (Kadence), Michael Dixon and Makayla McKinney; mother, Wanda Eubanks (Gerald); siblings, Terri Bell, Timothy Thompson (Diane), Pamela Thompson, Crissy Reddick (Bradford) and Jennifer Kippert (Gary); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 11AM to 12PM at the Flanders Powell Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at Noon the same day. Burial will be at Northside Cemetery.
