Mrs. Susie “Peggy” Parrish Littleton, 73, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Westwood Nursing Center. She was born on February 3, 1944 to the late William H. “Bill” and Susie Crosby Parrish in a little farm house in Stilson, GA. She attended school in Bulloch County and graduated from Southeast Bulloch High School in 1962. Mrs. Littleton pursued her career in nursing graduating in 1970 with her Licensed Practical Nurse degree. Many may remember her caring for them at Bulloch memorial Hospital where she began her career. Upon leaving the hospital, she worked for many of Statesboro’s Physicians. Peggy later worked at the Bulloch County Health Department where she retired in 1988. She later came out of retirement to work at the Effingham County Extended Care Facility. Peggy was a member of Christ Baptist Church and was very active throughout her life, she especially enjoyed clogging, a hobby that she enjoyed and shared with her husband Jimmy and her daughter Tonya.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Lee Faircloth; parents, William H. “Bill” and Susie Crosby Parrish; brother, Timothy Parrish and the joy of her life, her daughter, Tonya Littleton Cowart.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Jimmy Littleton; two brothers, Billy Parrish of Tennessee and James Parrish of Brooklet; two sisters, Debbie Cribbs (David) and Pat Bowen all of Brooklet; two grandsons, Wade Emeott (Stephanie) and Colin Ray all of Ellabell and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 11 -1 p.m. at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Harville Baptist Church Cemetery.
