Susan Seigler, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at St. Joseph's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Savannah, GA, on April 10, 1956, Susan brought joy and warmth to everyone she met throughout her life.
Susan was the devoted wife of the late Johnny Elijah Seigler, to whom she was married for 32 wonderful years. Together, they built a beautiful family, whom she cherished deeply. A caring homemaker by heart, Susan also spent a decade working as a framer, which is where she met her dear Johnny. Her love for family extended to her community as she actively participated in the "How Does Your Garden Grow" Flower Club, where she shared her passion for gardening, birds, and animals with her friends.
Her free spirit shone through as she indulged in hobbies such as shopping, watching movies, and staying connected with a wide circle of loved ones on Facebook. Susan's kindness and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Susan is survived by her two sons, John Adam Seigler, Sr. (Tammy) of Guyton, and Russell Wilson of Ellabell. Her legacy continues through her four grandchildren, John Adam Seigler, Jr. (Makayla), Russell "Ro-Ro" Wilson, Tessa McFarland (Marcus), and Kaden Allen Seigler, as well as her two great-grandchildren, Phoenix Wilson and Venus McFarland and sister-in-law, Dorothy Edwards (Carl) and two brothers-in-law, Ernest and Donald Seigler. Susan's extended family, including several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and cousins, also mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny, her parents Ernest W. Davis Sr. and Lillie Mae Briggs Davis, her daughter April Nicole Seigler, her brother Ernest W. Davis, Jr., and her sister Shirley McClendon.
Family and friends are invited to remember Susan during a visitation at Sand Hill Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A graveside service will follow immediately at 12:00 pm. Arrangements are being handled by Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flower, please make memorial contributions to the Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Trust Fund, 1936 Sand Hill Road, Guyton, GA 31312.
Susan Seigler's warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to family will be profoundly missed, but her spirit lives on in the beautiful memories she created with her loved ones.
