With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shannon Lyn Rericha Elmore, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Shannon peacefully departed this world on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, at the age of 49, under the care of Hospice Savannah. A resident of Ellabell, GA, she was born in Savannah, GA, on Sunday, May 23rd, 1976.
Shannon is survived by her devoted husband of 8 years, Eugene "Tiger" Elmore Sr., who was her rock and constant companion. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children Kayla E. Rericha, Leigha N. Rericha, and John C. Paulson Jr., and her cherished step-children Damon Elmore, Shayla Elmore, and Eugene Elmore Jr. Her memory will live on through her grandchildren Brantley Simmons, Wren Cowart, Wyler Cowart, and Kamden Hadwin, who saw her as "the best MeMe in the world."
She was the precious daughter of Debra Jean Rericha and the late David Edwin Rericha Sr., and was preceded in death by her dear grandparents Ernest E. Myers and Estelle Myers. Shannon will be deeply missed by her brother David Rericha Jr. and his wife Christina, as well as her nephews Devyn Jordan, Jayce Rericha, and Kodah Rericha.
A dedicated debt collector with Lanier Collection Agency, Shannon was known for her hard work, independence, and compassionate nature. She was not only an amazing wife and mother but also a fantastic housewife renowned for her cooking skills. Her loyalty and dedication extended beyond her family; she was a strong, caring, and compassionate person who was always ready to take care of those around her.
An ardent lover of cats, Shannon's affection extended to all creatures great and small. She drew joy from music, particularly the sounds of Stevie Nicks, Jellyroll, Ozzy, and Def Leppard. She and Tiger enjoyed time together watching WWE every time that it was on. In her leisure time, Shannon enjoyed watching a myriad of videos on YouTube, indulging in her eclectic tastes.
Shannon's memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 1pm in the chapel of Flanders Powell Funeral Home.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Shannon's honor to Hospice of Savannah, an organization that meant a great deal to her.
Arrangements are being handled by Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends and family will gather to celebrate Shannon's extraordinary life. Her memory and the love she shared will continue to inspire and guide those who knew and loved her.
