Ronald Williamson

Ellabell- Ronald “Ronnie” Allen Williamson, age 59, died Saturday morning at his home while surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Williamson was a life-long resident of Bryan County and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Ronnie had served as a detention officer for both Bryan and Effingham County Sherriff’s Offices.  He was an excellent cook and was the former manager of the Green Roof Restaurant and the Black Creek Café.  Mr. Williamson was also an avid fisherman, loved tending to his chickens and was a member of Ellabell Methodist Church.  Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Edward B. Williamson.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Lewis McLamb of Ellabell; mother, Jacquelyn Williamson of Ellabell; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Larry Jacobs of Ellabell; brother, Walter Williamson of Ellabell; grandchildren, Charlie Haydin, Sterling, and Lainey Jade; caregiver, Joyce Beecher and three nieces.

Visitation will be held 5-8 P.M. Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 at the funeral home.  Funeral service will be 5 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev.
