Reverend Regina Doney Santos, age 80, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at her home while under the care of hospice and her family.  Reverend Santos was born January 16, 1937 in Savannah to the late Lucille and Oscar Michael Doney, Sr.  She grew up in Thunderbolt and owned and operated a sign company there.  Rev. Santos was a U. S. Navy veteran and served Bryan County as EMT for over 14 years.  She served as pastor in several Methodist Churches, including the Folkston and Manor communities, Ellabell United Methodist Church and Fellowship Methodist Church.  Rev. Santos was an animal lover, especially her dogs.  She also loved to camp and fish.

Survivors include nephews and nieces, Mike Doney of Charlotte, NC, Joe and Betty Jo Doney of Midway, and Mark and Sheila Doney of Richmond Hill; sister-in-law, Jean Doney of Thunderbolt; companion and caregiver, Mary White of Ellabell; special friend, Vernell Fort-Todd of Baxley; and several great nieces and great great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2017 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Loadman, Sr. officiating.

Interment will follow Monday at 2 p.m. at Bonaventure Cemetery.

Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
