Ellabell- Norma Lois Wells Burnsed, age 73 passed away Tuesday evening, Aug. 28, 2018 at her home while under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice and her son. Mrs. Burnsed was born in Savannah on March 12, 1945 to the late John Boyd Wells and Norma Sims Wells. She was a long-time resident of Ellabell who enjoyed bingo, crocheting and was very faithful to her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Harry Corbin Burnsed, Sr., one brother, Jack Wells and one sister, Rosemary Altman.
Survivors include six sons, Thomas Boyd Burnsed, Sr. (Carrie) of Ellabell, Freddrick Burnsed (Sandy) of Savannah, Harry Corbin Burnsed, Jr. of Savannah, Norman Burnsed (Gina) of Savannah, John Farley Burnsed (Samantha)of Ellabell and John Farley Burnsed, Jr. of Savannah; one brother Jerry Wells of Savannah; one sister, Irene Justice (Perry) of Savannah; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with interment to follow in Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
