Nancy Pierce Page, age 73 passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Page was born in Savannah on May 27, 1945 to the late William Pierce and the late Hilda Denmark Pierce. She was a retired teacher having taught in Chatham and Liberty Counties before completing her 31 year career in North Bryan County schools. Mrs. Page was a long time member of Bryan/Evans Retired Educators and was president from 2004 to 2005 and from 2008 to 2009. She was a member of Pembroke United Methodist Church, a member of her church choir and a supporter of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Page loved her church, loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed shopping.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Evan Vernie Page, Jr; son, Van Elliot Page and his wife, Heidi, of Richmond Hill; daughter, Stacy Page Applegate and her husband, Mike, of Cumming; grandchildren, Ciara Page and Carson, Hannah, Chloe, Luke, Hope and Max Applegate.
Visitation will be held Noon until 2 P.M. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Thursday, January 24, 2019 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Avera and Rev. Dr. Thad Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery.
