Ellabell- Lola Brown Castro, age 50 died Sunday September 2, 2012 at her home while surrounded by her family. Lola was an outgoing, high-spirited young woman who loved life and always had a smile on her face. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed joking and cutting up with everyone. She knew no strangers and loved everyone she met. She loved her family including her EMS/Fire/Law Enforcement. Lola worked as an EMT with Bryan County for nine years and as EMT for Georgia Pacific. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, watching auto races and football.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Maxie Parrish.
She is survived by husband Ray Castro, two daughters and son-in-law Celena and Rashon Byrd, and Amy Brown all of Glenville; step-son Brett Castro, three brothers and sister-in-law Henry and Brenda Parrish, Luther Parrish, and David Parrish; two sisters Linda McGrath and Susie Parrish all of Ellabell, two grandsons Rashon, Jr. and Jerimiah Byrd both of Glenville; one aunt Yvonne Ellis, two uncles Howard Pulley of FL., and Willis Parrish of Ellabell; nieces Brandy, Jeniffer, and Nicole Parrish of Ellabell, nephew Nicholas (Bubba) Parrish, great niece Savannah Lowe, great nephew Raul Hernandez all of Ellabell; and cousin Sharon Peters of FL.
Visitation is 6-8 P.M. Wednesday September 5, 2012 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 3 P.M. Thursday September 6, 2012 in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Regina Santos officiating.
