Pembroke-Mrs. Lois Kendrick Edwards Free age 75 passed away Tuesday October 1, 2013 at home while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Free was of the Baptist Faith and had been employed by Claxton Manufacturing Co. She enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her flowers. She was predeceased by husband Harry Leon Edwards, and her parents Lucious J. and Maxie Catherine Simmons Kendrick.
She was survived by her husband Frederick "Fred" Alan Free of Pembroke, son Bobby Webb of Statesboro, daughters Janet Tonsing of Statesboro, Linda Powell of Pembroke, and Lisa (Todd) Squire of Statesboro, step-daughters Janice Symes of Baxley and Diane Hodges of Statesboro; brothers Joe and Ricky Kendrick both of Pembroke, and Billy Kendrick of Groveland, sisters Betty Edwards of Garden City, Joyce Johnson and Mary Smith both of Brooklet, grand children Kaye and Laurie, and Stevie and Genna Squire and Breanna Webb.
Visitation is Noon-2 P.M. Saturday October 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Saturday October 5, 2013 in the chapel with Dr. Lawrence Butler officiating.
