Pembroke- Mrs. Joyce Lanier Mills Wilson, age 77, died Wed. evening at Evans Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Wilson was a graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University and was a former medical technologist at St. Joseph's Hospital. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and photography. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Bertha Lanier, brother Dan Lanier and husband Madison Wilson.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in laws Dennis "Dino" and Karen Mills of Claxton and Robbie and Donna Mills of Tallahassee; three daughters and a son-in-law Leslie Lanier of Atlanta and April Mills Carter of Pembroke and Mary Ellen and Jerry Wayne Waltz of Clito; brothers Harold Lanier of Portal and Roger Lanier of Baton Rouge; sisters Marie Smith of Pembroke, B. Kaye Haire of Pembroke, and Faye Whitaker of Stilson; grandchildren Emily Fordham Behrendsen, Dennis Wayne Mills, Jessica Mills, Lauren Carter, Cody D. Mock, Wesley Dean, Sean Dean, Cassie D. Mock, Maggie Bryant and Joey May; and 11 great grandchildren
Visitation will be held 1- 2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside service: 2:30 P.M. Saturday at Red Hill Cemetery. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
