Ellabell- Mrs. Claire Mae Walls Vangiller, age 66 passed away April 4, 2014 at her home while surrounded by her family. Mrs. Vangiller was retired as a housekeeper for Dykes Construction and attended The Bridge in Pembroke. She loved shopping, the beach, and most of all the company of her family. Claire is now resting in peace with her family that has gone on before her. She has fought hard for a long time.
Survivors include her son, Edward Geiger of Ellabell; daughters and son-in-laws Joan Wilkes and Jerry Smith of Ellabell, Lisa and Tony Beasley of Metter, Kathy Cribbs and Jack Monroe of Aline; brothers, Freddie Walls of Cobbtown, Eddie Walls of Reidsville, Tinnie Walls of Ludowici; sisters Louise Williams of Ellabell, Dolly Crosby of Ellabell, and Phyllis Tyre of Savannah; 10 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6-9 P.M. Monday, April 7, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Hargette officiating. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
