Pembroke-Mr. Robert Paul Nasworthy age 78 passed away Tuesday October 29, 2013 at Heritage Inn Health & Rehab. in Statesboro surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Nasworthy was a long time resident of Pembroke and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Kite. He was an Army veteran and a crane and heavy equipment operator for the Bryan County Roads Department; and loved to hunt and fish. He was preceeded in death by his parents Recy and Sadie Wilson Nasworthy.
He is survived by his wife of over 53 years Annie Helen Anderson Nasworthy, two daughters and sons-in-law Paula and Mark Lanier of Brooklet and DeeDee and Jerome Proman of Richmond Hill; a brother Gleen Nasworthy of Johnson Corner, and two grandchildren Logan and Lily Lanier.
Visitation is 6-9 P.M. Wednesday October 30, 2013 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Thursday October 31, 2013 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Kite with Reverend Phil Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, 200 Donehoo St., Statesboro, Georgia 30458. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
