Ellabell-Mr. Jerome Davis age 92 passed away Friday May 23, 2014 at East Georgia Regional Hospital. Mr. Davis was a lifelong resident of Ellabell and a longtime member of Savannah Holy Church of God. He was retired from Union Camp Corporation after 36 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid farmer and raised live stock. He was preceded in death by his wife Alvrie Smith Davis and parents Henry N. and Sally L. Baker Davis.
He is survived by son Richard Jerome Davis, daughter Judy Ann Payne; and sister-in-law Blondean Smith Newman all of Ellabell, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 3-6 P.M. Sunday, May 25, 2014 a the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Monday, May 26, 2014 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Ralston officiating. Interment to follow in Lower Black Creek Cemetery.Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
