Ellabell-Mr. Freddie (Papa Fred) Allen Covington age 64 passed away Thursday September 12, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Covington had been a longtime resident of Ellabell, was a paper mill millwright for 28 years and a member of Local Labor Union #388. He was a Charter member of Hendrix Park Youth Recreation Assoc. and a past President of "Redskins" Boosters Club. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where he had served as V.B.S. Missions Class teacher and director of the Clayton Moncess Lanier Brotherhood of Baptist Men from Beulah Baptist Church. He loved church and church service DVD's, his family, grandchildren, his church family and sister church families, and #50 Redskin Football. Mr. Covington was thankful to God for the many blessings he had bestowed upon him and Pam. He was thankful for a loving God, a loving family and a loving church family. He is predeceased by his parents Noah Samuel Jr. and Mary Lizzie Page Covington.

He was survived by his wife of 46 years of Holy Bliss Pamela (Granmammie) Charlene Tyson Covington, three sons Noah Samuel Covington III and his wife Kimberly A. Crowe Covington, Nathan Allen Covington and his wife Becky Sue Morris Covington, and Joshua Caleb Covington and his wife Kimberly Kay Anderson Covington; one daughter Daphne "Dollbaby" Roxanna Covington; five grandsons Justin Allan Covington, Benjamin Noah Covington; Jeffrey Allen Covington, Phillip Owen Covington, and Carling Adam Covington; one sister Linda Gail Covington Horner; nephew Micah Page Horner; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and a large extended family.

Visitation will be held 6-9 P.M. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 3 P.M. Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy, Micheal, Christopher, Jason and Scott Chavis, Brad and Paul Cowart and Josh Davis. Memorial contributions may be made to Beulah Baptist Youth Ministries, P.O. Box 299, Pembroke, GA 31321. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
