Pembroke- Edward B. Williamson, age 77, died Wednesday afternoon February 27, 2013 at Ogeechee Area Hospice while surrounded by his family. Mr. Williamson was a 27 year employee of Builderama, Inc. in Savannah and later owned and operated Pembroke Millwork and Supply, Inc. for 11 years. He attended Bryan County High School and was a long-time member of Ellabell United Methodist Church where he served on various committees. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict; past master of Pembroke Masonic Lodge #469; member of the Alee Shrine of Savannah where he was awarded the Merit Jewel Award in 1998; Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite 32 degree of Savannah; K.C.C.H.; past patron and Emeritus member of the Order of the Eastern Star Button Gwinnette Chapter #497 of Hinesville; member of the Knights of Mecca; president of Bryan County Shrine Club, both in 1998 and in 2013; past district director of the first Masonic District Child Identification Program ( GA CHIP); and past commander of John Duggar American Legion Post # 264.







Survivors include his wife of 59 years Jacquelyn Thomas Williamson; daughter and son-in-law Lynn Williamson Jacobs and Larry Jacobs of Ellabell; sons Ronnie Williamson and Walter Williamson both of Ellabell; brother and sister-in-law David and Joan Williamson of Snellville, four granddaughters Cheryl and Tommie Crummett of Lakenheath AFB, England; Melanie and Joey Sherman, Jamie and Kevin Cowart and Jessica and Lewis McLamb all of Ellabell; and four great grandchildren Eddie Sherman, Charlie Hayden and Sterling McLamb and Jacob Cowart all of Ellabell and many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held 5-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday March 2, 2013 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Don Combs officiating, assisted by Rev. Joe Leatherwood. Burial will be in Ellabell Methodist Church Cemetery with Masonic rites and military honors observed. Honorary pallbearers are members of Bryan County Shrine Club, Pembroke Masonic Lodge #469, and Eastern Star. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
