Mildred Powell Cribbs

Mrs. Mildred Powell Cribbs, 85, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Mrs. Cribbs was born in Ellabell to the late George Herb and Carrie B. Powell on January 26, 1940. She worked for many years with Claxton Manufacturing, was of the Baptist faith, and was an avid seamstress and gardener and enjoyed reading and loved people.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Ann Newcity and son-in-law, Mark Newcity.

Survivors include one daughter, Sara Blair and her husband Wallace of Brooklet; two brothers, Millerd Herb and his wife Theresa of Pembroke and John Henry and his wife Diane of Pembroke; two sisters, Joyce Satchell of Washington State and Angie Roberts of Pembroke; 7 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10: - 11:00 a.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Flanders Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Patrick McElveen officiating.
