Mr. Michael Eugene Gillespie, 56, passed away on Friday at his residence. He was born in St. John, KS to the late Jack and Ruby Cook Gillespie on May 6, 1962. Mike worked for 40 years as a roofer; he was a kind, loving soul who was very passionate about his family and friends. Mike worked hard all his life and would have given you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He will be dearly missed by all but mostly, by his two beautiful daughters, Amber and Jackie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Ivan Gillespie and sister, Cynthia Diane Struchen.

Survivors include two daughters, Amber Stuart Dorsey and Jacqueline Michelle Gillespie; brother, Ricky Lee Gillespie; grandchildren, Hailey Donaldson, Savannah Donaldson, Trinity Donaldson, Diana Gillespie, Sarah Ellerby, Trey Lilly, Destiny Dorsey and one on the way.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Northside Cemetery with Pastor Kenny Harrelson officiating.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Ms. Bettie Schwalls for being a wonderful caregiver and friend to Mike during his life and final days.
