Mary O'Neal

Mary Wilkes O’Neal age 86, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at her daughter’s home while under the care of hospice.  Mrs. O’Neal was born in Lyons on January 20, 1934 to the late Thelma Smith Wilkes and Emmitt Wilkes.  She was a homemaker, a member of Burkhalter Baptist Church, and loved to fish and cook for her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Enoch Roscoe O’Neal; son Terry L. O’Neal; one grandson, Gary Rigdon, Jr.; four sisters Eudine Smith, Wonnie Dismuke, Helen Graham, and  Lucille Phillips and one brother, Buster Wilkes.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mickey Wayne and Lana O’Neal of Pooler; two daughters and a son-in-law, Loretta Sue and Gary Rigdon of Hephzibah and Nancy Ciucevich of Savannah; one sister, Lawanna Weaver of Columbus, GA; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6-8 P.M. Friday, June 5, 2020 at the funeral home.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, June 6, 2020 in the Galbreath Family Cemetery.
