Marlene Webb Woleslagle, of Brooklet, GA, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25th, 2026, at the age of 89. Marlene was born on May 14th, 1937, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late William Edward Webb and Ida Burns Webb.
Marlene was a woman of many passions. Her love for her family was paramount. Marlene was dubbed "Fallen Angel" in the trucking world as all of her husbands were truck drivers, whom she absolutely adored. She also enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, crabbing, singing and dancing. Marlene liked to cut up and make her family laugh as often as she could making memories that her family will cherish for years to come.
Marlene is survived by her loving children: sons, Therman "Junior" Simmons (Crystal) of Ellabell, Andy Simmons (Joyce) of Pembroke, Mitch Simmons (Billie) of Newington and Paul Turner of Tifton; daughters, Lorraine Harper (Ernie) of Florida, Andrea Wiles (John) of Brooklet, Leanne Simmons of Oliver, GA, Donna Gray of Lyons and Kristina Turner of Adell. ; sisters, Rachel, Beck, Norma, Shirley and Dee Dee; 28 cherished grandchildren; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Alvin Woleslagle Sr.; sons, Tommy and Mike Simmons.; and siblings, Mary, Sandra, Janie, Lou, Jim, Edward, Mike and Bob.
A visitation to celebrate Marlene's life will be held at Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory in Pembroke, GA, on Sunday, May 31st, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Funeral services will follow on Monday, June 1st, 2026, at 11:00 am at the same location, with Rev. Russell Rogers officiating. Pallbearers will be Cole Turner, Paul Turner, Shylyr Simmons, Kaggan Cobb, Kenny Cobb and Willis Smith. Burial will be at Hillcrest Abbey West on Monday, June 1st, 2026 at 130pm.
In remembrance of Marlene, those who knew her well are invited to carry forward her legacy of enthusiasm for life and love for family.
