Mrs. Madisela Marie “MooMoo” Owens, 27, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta. Mrs. Owens was born in Savannah on April 6, 1993 to Tony Mestey and Mita Martin. She was employed for 2 years as a sales associate at Pooler Best Dry Cleaners until her illness and she was a member of Life Springs Worship Center. Mrs. Owens loved spending time with her family, especially her three children. She enjoyed music and singing and being in the woods deer and hog hunting. She was a loving, caring person and cared for her family and extended family. MooMoo made an impact on everyone that she met and was full of life and she was stubborn yet strong headed. If she every told you “143” you knew that she loved you.
Survivors include her parents, Mita Martin and Jack Martin and Tony Mestey (Rhonda); three children, Madison Owens of Pembroke, Miranda Burnsed and Mason Burnsed both of Guyton; four siblings, Amber Mestey Long (Dustin) of Bartow, FL , Angel Mestey (Brandon) of Columbia, SC, Kristerfer Martin of Pembroke, and Summer Mestey of Ridgeland, SC; two nieces, Sophia Long and Mia Long both of Bartow, FL; grandparents, Nelly Casiano of Puerto Rico, Jesse and Brenda France of Pembroke and Nancy New of Charleston, SC and numerous uncles and aunts.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021, 3:00 p.m. at Life Springs Worship Center with Dr. Julie Stanley-Mack and Pastor Jesse France officiating.
Burial will be private.
