Obituary

Mack Huston Sutton, a loving husband, father, and dedicated community member, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16th, 2026. He was 82 years old. Born on Friday, January 14th, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, Mack was a man who touched many lives with his kindness, dedication, and unwavering faith.

Raised in Chicago, Mack dedicated much of his life to serving his community as a school bus driver for the Illinois Board of Education. He took great pride in his work, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children he transported throughout his career. After retiring, Mack relocated to Ellabell, Georgia, where he continued to be an active and beloved member of his community.

Mack was a devoted Jehovah's Witness, spending much of his time at Kingdom Hall and ministering to those around him. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and inspiring those who knew him.

An avid animal lover, Mack opened his heart and home to numerous animals over the years, rescuing and caring for them with unmatched love and compassion. He also found joy in everyday life by spending treasured moments with his wife, Amy Riner Sutton, to whom he was deeply devoted.

Mack was fond of shopping, especially at yard sales, where he enjoyed the thrill of finding hidden treasures. His favorite dining spot was Cracker Barrel, where he relished sharing meals with family and friends.

Mack is survived by his beloved wife, Amy Riner Sutton; his two sons, Daniel and Andy Sutton; and a large, loving family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Sutton; his sister, Janice Webb; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Mack Francis Sutton and Irene Marie Sutton.

Services for Mack will be private, honoring his wishes. Arrangements are being handled by Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory. In remembrance of Mack's generous spirit, the family asks that friends and family continue his legacy of kindness and service in their own communities.

Mack Huston Sutton will be dearly missed, but his memory and the impact he had on those around him will live on.
