It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loretta B. Calvert, a cherished resident of Bloomingdale, GA, who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on Wednesday, June 18th, 1958, in the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia, Loretta lived a life devoted to her family, friends, and community.
Loretta embraced her role as a homemaker, dedicating herself to her family and managing a loving household. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her home through her involvement in animal rescue efforts and adoptions, providing countless animals with loving homes. Loretta was also a devoted caregiver to her family and friends, offering unwavering support and compassion during their times of need.
A true family woman, Loretta cherished every moment spent with her beloved children, Melissa Wade (Brian) of Bloomingdale and Michael Byrd (Ashley) of Richmond Hill. She was a proud grandmother to Devon, Brayden, Gracie, Lane, and Michael Chase, who were the light of her life.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Loretta is survived by her sister, Amanda Parrish of Savannah. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Roy Brosky and Sarah Elizabeth Brosky, as well as her brother, Doug Brosky.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Thursday, March 12th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory in Pembroke, GA. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 pm, where loved ones will gather to honor and remember the extraordinary life of Loretta B. Calvert.
