Lawrence Reynolds Thompkins was born June 30, 1957, to Aaron and Mary Thompkins. He graduated from Beach High School in 1975. He was employed by and retired from International Paper Union Camp.
Lawrence dedicated his life to Jehovah and symbolized his desire to do his will by water baptism on July 8, 1989.
Lawrence loved the outdoors and always an avid gardener with 2 green thumbs. He enjoyed music of all types, western movies and Perry Mason. He had a wonderful sense of humor.
He was actively involved with the Sarcoidosis Support Group of Savannah, GA for many years. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother and friends.
Lawrence was quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. James 1:19.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his father Aaron Thompkins, sisters Edna Brown and Cynthia Thompkins-James and brother Aaron Cedric Thompkins.
He is survived by his devoted wife Lavelle Jones Thompkins, sons Lawrence Romez Thompkins and Antonia Marcus Jones. His mother Mary Palmer Thompkins, his six siblings, sisters Clara Austin (Harold), Patricia Bracey (Burnard), Jessilyn Culver (Andros), Angela T. Robbins, Delia Thompkins, brother, Michael Thompkins; as well as Romez's mother, Albertha (Jose') Carrera-Camarena. He loved loved by numerous nieces and nephews as well as many loyal friends.
Lawrence remained faithful to his God Jehovah to the end. He is now in Jehovah's memory, the best place he can be until his resurrection.
