Pembroke-Ms. Karon Ann Zambrano age 64 passed away Thursday October 16, 2014 at her home after a long illness. Ms. Karon formerly of Savannah, GA had moved to the Groveland community a little over a year ago. She was a member of the Baptist faith and loved to paint pictures, reading, the Internet, doing crafts, and was a very good cook who loved to bake. She was preceded in death by her parents William H. and Eddie Mae Smith Anderson and a brother Dean Anderson.
She is survived by three sisters and brother-in-law Peggy Singley of S.C., Terry and Harron Lee of Pembroke, and Judy Padgett of Claxton, two brothers and sister-in-law Allen and Barbara Anderson of Groveland, and Ricky Anderson of New Mexico; and Tameka Johnson whom she raised like a daughter, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 4-5 P.M. Monday October 20, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial service will be 5 P.M. Monday October 20, 2014 in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Dan Bryant officiating. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home of Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
