Karen Virginia Boutwell

Ellabell- Karen Virginia Boutwell, age 40 passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024. Ms. Boutwell was born in Savannah, GA to Allen R Boutwell and Kathy Diane Jarrell Boutwell. Karen was a graduate of Bryan County High School where she loved being part of the Redskin Softball Team. She later attended Georgia Southern University and enjoyed playing intermural softball there. She was a legal secretary for several attorneys in Savannah before becoming a certified caregiver for veterans. Karen enjoyed swimming, shopping and going to the beach. She also attended First Baptist Church of Ellabell. Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Brandon Lane Boutwell; her grandparents, Katherine Virginia McNure Jarrell, Archie Jarrell, Jr., Joe Ann Jarrell, and Edward and Emma Roberts Boutwell and aunts and uncles, Sandra Boutwell Purvis, Jimmy Boutwell, Judy Boutwell Sikes and William "Billy" Boutwell

 Survivors include her parents, Allen R. and Kathy Diane Jarrell Boutwell of Ellabell; one daughter, Courtney Alexis Minis of Ellabell; one son Christian Collins of Rincon; many aunts, uncles and cousins including Barbara Jarrell, Donna Thomson, Nancy Smith, Archie Jarrell, III, Steven Jarrell, Stephanie Shearouse, Sandra Sullivan, Jackie Boutwell DeLoach, Debra Ann Boutwell, Tiffany Boutwell Walker and Terri Driggers; her best friend, Crystal Kangeter Dunkle and was a VA caregiver for Clarance Mike Hill.

 A memorial visitation will be held 4-6 P.M. Friday, July 12, 2024 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 6 P.M. Friday, July 12, 2024.
