Joyce H. Fowler, age 90, passed away on August 9, 2021. She loved the outdoors; the mountains, the beach, and the woods. After retiring from a career with DFCS, she loved to travel with her longtime friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack B. Fowler, Sr.; her son, Victor H. Fowler and her granddaughter, Brittany S. Fowler.

She is survived by her son, Jack B. Fowler, Jr. and his wife Angela; her daughter, Margaret Lindsey Fowler Edwards and her husband Mark; four grandchildren, Victoria Coulter and her husband Michael, Keith Fowler, Craig Fowler and his wife Tiffany and Timothy Jackson Fowler and great grandchildren, Troy Fowler, Kayle Fowler, Baine Fowler, Roman Fowler, Karsyn Fowler and Kathleen Coulter.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist, but attended Pembroke Methodist Church since returning to the local community.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.

Graveside service will follow at 11:00 at Lower Black Creek Cemetery with Doctor Thad Harvey officiating.
