Mr. Richard Joseph “Joe” Murton, 54, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Murton was born in Savannah on March 25, 1962 to Richard James Murton and Melva Jean Murton. He was employed with Derst Baking Company as a maintenance operator, loved to fish and was an avid Cleveland Browns football fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Jessica Kaheaonalani Low Murton; six sons, James, Joseph, DeeJay, Donovan, Dustin and Dylan; brother, Butch Murton; two sisters, Brenda Norris and Cindy Brockelman and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Flanders Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Sullivan officiating.
