Janice Brantley

Eden- Janice Lee Combs Brantley, age 61, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Effingham Hospital. Mrs. Brantley was retired as a heavy equipment operator for the Georgia Department of Transportation with over 20 years of service and was a member of Emanuel Community Church. She was a collector of Mickey Mouse, Hot Wheels and baseball cards and loved shopping at local flea markets, especially Keller’s.
Mrs. Brantley was preceded in death by her parents, Scranton and Kathleen Joyner Combs and two brothers, Glenn and Marshall Hughes.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Wayne Lee Brantley of Eden, sister and brother-in-law, Kathy C. and Carter Caine of Guyton and sister, Cindy Hopkins and her companion, Marla Fulton, both of Pembroke and five nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 5-8 P.M. Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Tuesday Nov. 17, 2015 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Mitch Lynn officiating.
Interment will follow in Lawrence Church Cemetery.
