Janell Evelyn Moneyhan O’Neal, age 78 passed away Wednesday morning, February 3, 2021 at her home while surrounded by her family. Mrs. O’Neal was born in Statesboro on January 7, 1943 to the late Johnny Robert Moneyhan and Mary Myrtice White Moneyhan. She was a long-time resident of Pembroke and was the owner and operator of O’Neal Income Tax and Business Services. Mrs. O’Neal was an excellent cook and a great seamstress. She was a member of The Bridge church and also sang with several gospel groups.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Rev. Harold O’Neal of Pembroke; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl Dean “Buddy” and Christine “Chrissy” O’Neal of Port Wentworth and Michael Doug and Sonya O’Neal of Richmond Hill; two daughters, Linda Gail Porter of Pembroke and Robin O’Neal Wilkes of Pembroke; one brother, Robert Larry Moneyhan of Houston, TX; one sister, Janie Flower of Sebastian, FL; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Flanders Powell Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at The Bridge church in Pembroke with Dr. Lawrence Butler officiating, assisted by Rev. Raymond Bazemore.
Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery.
