James "JimBo" Monroe Skinner, aged 61, of Statesboro, GA, passed away on Monday, March 30th, 2026. Born on Tuesday, February 23rd, 1965, JimBo lived a life full of adventure, love, and dedication, leaving behind cherished memories with family and friends who loved him deeply.
JimBo was a devoted father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Amanda Bacon, and her husband, Claude, of Pembroke; his father, Gerald Skinner, his sister, Lisa Ann Pittman, and her husband Ronnie, both of Statesboro. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Nevaeh, Damien, Suzanna, and CJ, all of whom brought immense joy to his life. JimBo will also be remembered fondly by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Skinner; his mother, Mary Ann Cox; his brother, Terry Skinner; his sister, Rosemary Skinner and Amanda's mother, Diane Skinner.
For 15 years, JimBo worked as a skilled heavy equipment operator, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues through his unwavering dedication and exceptional skills. Outside of work, he was an active and passionate member of ABATE (American Bikers Active Toward Education), where he shared his love for motorcycles and advocated for rider education and safety.
A private service will be held to honor JimBo's life, providing a moment for those closest to him to gather in remembrance. Arrangements are entrusted to Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory, where JimBo's family and friends can continue to share their memories and pay tribute to his legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in JimBo's memory to ABATE, continuing his passion for motorcycle safety and education. JimBo's warm heart, infectious laughter, and adventurous spirit will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
