James Blackston

Ellabell- James Earl Blackston, age 53, died Sunday, April 12, 2015, after a brief illness. Mr. Blackston was a shrimp boat captain, a gifted guitarist, a good cook, loved joking and making people laugh, but most of all, he loved his family. He was predeceased by his father, Lary E. Blackston, Sr.
Survivors include former wife, Lori Blackston; his sons, Taylor Lucas of Ellabell and James Blackston of Ellabell; daughters Amie (Clint) Santini of Pooler, Elizabeth Lucas of Ellabell, Mandy Blackston of Ellabell; mother, Wellene Miller Blackston; brother Lary “Uncle Chunk” (Deb) Blackston, Jr. of Savannah; sisters Linda Curl of Ellabell, Susan (Johnny) Pritchard of Savannah, and Vickie (Skeeter) Tumlin of Savannah; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 6 P.M. Friday, April 17, 2015 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blackston gofundme account.
