With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jacqueline Marie Jaime on July 16, 2026, at her home in Ellabell, Georgia. Born in Greensboro, Georgia, on October 3, 1957, Jacqueline lived a life full of love, warmth, and joy.
A devoted assistant hairdresser by trade, Jacqueline was truly an artist with a tremendous love for plants, flowers, and animals. Her garden was a testament to her green thumb, a place where she could grow a tree from a twig. Jacqueline's love for life was infectious; she cherished every precious moment with her beloved significant other, Jim Nielsen. Whether cheering for her favorite Bulldogs or dancing on the front porch, Jacqueline's joy for life was evident to all who knew her.
Her family was her heart and soul. Jacqueline is survived by her partner, Jim Nielsen, daughters, Jessica (Devon) Grzandziel and their daughter of Stockbridge, Georgia and Megan (Xavier) Acevedo and their five children of Lillington, North Carolina. She leaves behind her dear Pop, Robert McElhannon of Eatonton; sisters Rindi (Jim) McNair of Lyons, and Luann Clark of Summerset; and brothers, Tommy McElhannon (Lisa) and Robert A. McElhannon (Connie), both of Eatonton. Her extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews who brought happiness into her life. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Richard and Barbara Hawkins McElhannon.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory in Pembroke, GA on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm at the same location with Rev. Efton Green officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Jacqueline's honor to an animal charity of your choice, reflecting her unwavering love for animals.
Jacqueline's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the pleasure to know her. She lived vibrantly and loved deeply, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who met her.
Arrangements are entrusted to Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory.
Rest in peace, Jacqueline, knowing you have left a legacy of love and laughter.
