Ida Whitlock

Bloomingdale-  Ida L. Whitlock, age 88 passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at Hospice Savannah.  Mrs. Whitlock was a native of Brazil and had lived in Ellabell and Bloomingdale for many years.  She retired as a secretary from Union Camp and as an investigator with the Department of Family and Children Service.  Mrs. Whitlock was a member of First Baptist Church of Ellabell and was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Emmitt Whitlock and son, William Thomas Whitlock.

Survivors include her son, Steven Whitlock of Pembroke, stepson, Jerry Whitlock of New Mexico and long-time companion, Lawrence E. Drescher of Bloomingdale.

Visitation will be held 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Funeral service will be  held 11 A.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with interment to follow in Ellabell Baptist Cemetery.  Flandersmorrisonfuneralhome.com
