Harold Carlton Floyd, age 92, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Floyd was born in Pembroke on July 18, 1925 to the late Estelle and Hershell L. Floyd, Sr. He was a carpenter with over 25 years of service with Bulloch Memorial Hospital, was also a farmer and enjoyed raising cattle. Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Carolyn S. Floyd of Pembroke; one son and daughter-in-law, David H. and Nancy Floyd of Guyton; two daughters and son-in-laws, Lindy and Jerry Powell of Pembroke and Rhonda and Greg Short of Guyton; one brother, Victor P. Floyd of Pembroke; six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 11-Noon on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Flanders Morrison Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at Noon, Friday, September 15, 2017 in Northside Cemetery with Dr. Lawrence Butler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, 200 Donehoo Street, Statesboro, GA 30458. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
