Mr. Hardy Myrick Gardner, III, 71, passed away Sunday morning, May 1, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Gardner was born in Savannah to the late H.M. Gardner, Jr. and Grace Mock Gardner on May 19, 1944. He was a member of Powers Baptist Church, worked for the City of Garden City for 10 years in the water works department, enjoyed working in his yard and watching racing.

He is preceded in death by his wife of four years, Catherine Emily Smith Gardner.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Betty Joe O’Hare of Eldora; sister, Carolyn Wilson of North Carolina; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Clint Sullens officiating.
